Introduction
Brutalism is a style of architecture that emerged in the 1950s and grew out of the early-20th century modernist movement. Brutalist buildings are characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style and large-scale use of poured concrete. The style is often associated with a sense of strength and solidity, and is known for its use of raw, unfinished materials and bold, sculptural forms.
Brutalism has been a style that always captivated me, so I liked to try to recreate it in a digital way.
My first attempt was with a special theme. I was wondering to make an artwork of my favourite manga series: Berserk. I thought that the thematic of the manga would fit perfectly with the brutalist style.
